Talha Khalil: A Rising Cricket Star

Hailing from a disadvantaged background in Peshawar, Talha Khalil has emerged as one of the best fast bowlers in the under-16 category. With sheer dedication and talent, he earned selection for the prestigious All Pakistan Interboard Cricket Tournament. However, financial constraints threatened to hinder his progress. MDES Foundation stepped in to support Talha, providing essential resources such as equipment, coaching, and travel assistance. Under the supervision of Sayed Shahab Ahmad at Islamia College’s main ground, Talha continues to refine his skills. One remarkable initiative was led by Urooj Syed, a dedicated member of MDES Foundation, who played a crucial role in transforming the life of a struggling family. This family, facing extreme hardships, had a deaf and mute daughter, and their financial situation made survival difficult. Understanding their needs, Urooj Syed helped them start a tailoring business, providing them with the necessary resources and guidance. Today, the mother of the family stitches clothes, earning a livelihood with dignity and hope. MDES Foundation has taken this initiative even further by purchasing clothes from them, ensuring a sustainable income for the family. This not only empowers them but also benefits underprivileged children, as these clothes are provided to those in need. This success story is a testament to the power of support and opportunity, proving that when compassion meets action, lives can truly be transformed.

Many of them struggle to find opportunities to break free from the cycle of hardship. Without proper support, these children are at risk of falling further behind, unable to achieve their full potential and contribute positively to society.nThe lack of infrastructure needed to shelter such a large group of people led to public health concerns, as weather conditions worsened and cases of illness among children were confirmed by binational health officials. This is the situation that thousands of people found themselves in, fleeing violence or persecution and running out of resources before securing a chance at asylum.

The Solution

MDES Foundation launched a powerful awareness and fundraising campaign, leveraging social media and community networks to reach a wider audience. Through collaborations with influencers, philanthropists, and compassionate individuals, we inspired people to contribute to our mission. With every donation, we provided education, healthcare, and essential resources to help children build a better future.
